ABC-CLIO 21-Volume Encyclopedia of World History
ABC-CLIO, the leading publisher of academic reference works, is in the process of developing a comprehensive 21-volume Encyclopedia of World History. We are looking for interested scholars to prepare 500-1500 word articles with a global perspective in the area of Migration and Travel.

Three sections: Essays, Current Analysis, and Reflections. Contributions will be received in Spanish, English or French and published in their original language.
Seeking Contributors for a 21st Century Encyclopedia on U.S. Immigration and Ethnicity Elliott Barkan has been selected by ABC-Clio to organize and edit this major innovation in a print/electronic, four volume encyclopedia on immigration to the United States and American ethnicity. Individuals interested in learning more about the groups to be covered (over 100) and the thematic topics (over 20) should contact Elliott directly. Please provide contact information and a brief list of the groups or broader kinds of topics you have written about or would like to consider writing. All contributors will be compensated for their entries according to the length and number of essays submitted and accepted. Lengths will vary with topic. Greenwood Press is looking for authors for a four volume encyclopedia:
Multicultural America: The Newest Americans.
The set will consist of essays ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 words (including bibliography, sidebars, and tables) on immigrants to the United States from fifty countries. Authors will be paid on the basis of the length of their essays and will receive the set of four volumes. Attached is an outline of the essays which should generally be followed although there is flexibility here. The essays will be due in late summer 2009, but there is flexibility here as well.
